Cable Tv Lockout
Transmission Shift points way off?
My 89 700 R4 transmission TV cable needs adjusting. If I need to bring the shift points down to a lower RPM do I slack it off or tighten it up ? I slacked it down somewhat and now it completely bypasses 3rd and goes straight to OD. 1 to 2 is pretty good 2 to 3 If it evens grabbs 3 , 2 is really winding out almost to where I feel I need to back off of it. and the OD grabs at a bout 45 and the lockout stays in OD unitl I get drop down to about 35 MPH. If this is just a trial and error repair say so I have time to kill .

start by pressing adjustment tab and sliding inner cable housing all the way back, then press the accelerator pedal to the floor to adjust, don`t open throttle plates to wide open to set, it will be off, because the throttle cable may not open it as far as you can open it by hand
